SuperHumans

Superhuman qualities are qualities that exceed far beyond what is normally found in average humans. Superhuman abilities are found in some fictional characters, especially as superheroes in American comic books. Fictional characters have been portrayed as having psychic abilities, flying abilities, impossible strength, or exceptional proficiency beyond human capability. Superhuman can also mean something that is not human, but considered to be "superior" to humans in some way.

 

Superhuman abilities may result from human enhancement by genetic modification, cybernetic implants, nanotechnology, or from human evolution in the distant future.

 

The fictional universes devised by creative minds, where the superhuman or supernatural coexist with us ordinary folk, are not entirely devoid of facts. Many of us are entranced by the mysterious appeal of the strange and unusual and, now more than ever, the superhuman is the subject of some of the most popular films, TV series and books. There’s just something inscrutably attractive about the bizarre, the uncanny and the larger than life.
